New anti-cheat program

New anti-cheat prgram is out - X-Ray. Its better than PB, as the hack makers havent made the hacks X-Ray proof yet.

it prevents ME from cheating but it doesn't do anything for anyone else? :/

well, it makes SS of ur screen, so if u suspect anybody cheating u spec him and it will make screenshots of that, as u know if ur spec somebody there is a text somewhere saying spectating. And its in BETA but they are making a serverside program, wich would follow basicly all players and check if anybody cheats. As the topic name says its NEW.

hmm i'm a bit suspicious... If it is a program that is allowed to take screenshots while you are playing it should be able to do it while you are not playing also which is not good.

If you have to dowload it, it means that you cant see the ones who are cheaters if they havent donwloaded it...??

And better than BP? dont think so yet... It will be hacked if it gets big, trust me!!

Maybe I have misunderstood something... please tell me.

And btw it has to have a linux, UNIX and mac verson of it...

And one more thing:

If it works whitout any issues i think it is great, but first it have to beat BP and if people are continuing having problems whith BP ppl will switch to x-ray.

ummm.... west wing.. its PB not BP and it meant like IF u think somebody cheats, u spec him and the X-Ray will make a SS of that cheater. And as X-Ray is friends with PB, they will find the hardware guids etc needed and ban the player. And it cant make SS if u havent loaded it up/turned it on. And why do u need to be suspicious, if u dont cheat then there is no reason to be afraid of screenshots...

I assume that most of the punkbuster issues have been fixed now, as it seems to be quite stable at the minute.

Will always get the odd kick, but then that's a small price to pay for having a clean server I think.
