Did you guys know it's not really all that easy to remove the flag from the famous Iwo-Jima photo.

hmmm alternatively you could find a high resolution picture with as much zoom out as possible and cut to a bit above flag and stretch the edges on left and right a bit and then if necessarily force different aspect ratio, im not a good graphic guy so im not even sure if thats going to work so just an advice

Umm... I don't think there is a "zoomed out" version of this very famous historic picture. 
The left edge of the image is basically gray mass.. I could stretch that out a bit though.
After all, i stretched out my current siggy as well. Added a tiny bit of "burnt corners" effect and a masterpiece was born..
