Lagggggggggggg
Well for the first time I have started to experience a bit of lag on the server, nothing heavy just a bit twitchy now and again wonder why that is?
{GTB} Energy mentioned internet speed can cause lag, well I have 20mb broadband and as it happens I am swapping to a 50mb line in a couple of weeks.
I know there are many other factors to consider such as software and I have added an extra couple of security items to my system of late maybe thats the reason. Perhaps there is a lot of behind the scenes scanning going on.
Anybdy else having any problems at the moment.

me too
I got a lag just because of my internet speed cause i got a wifi mobile broadband (i told my parents they will regret it). as for the software and hardware I don't think i got any problems with that.
So to avoid that i usually play at 10am-3pm cause everyone is in work school etc. while i got 2 weeks off right now and i also play after 9 pm when most people are asleep but only bots are playing, anyway if its internet cause u said you got 20mb and upgrading to 50mb than you should have not a single problem. ill check on other posts to see if anyone else has this prob.

Re: Lagggggggggggg
went on the server earlier and I could hardly move forward due to lag, then I noticed my anti virus was doing a deep scan so this time it did effect me

Re: Lagggggggggggg
The reason for the lag is PB. Try using the server without PB on for a day, you'll notice the difference.

Hello ArtstAr
yes this is a common point raised by others however until now I have never had a problem with lag even with PB running so its hard for me to side with you on this one, where as others will agree completly with you.
Personally I prefer PB on it keeps a lot of undesirables out.
Thanks for your input

Re: Lagggggggggggg
Art, why are You always asking us to turn off PB ?
Just JOKING Art !
PB does cause some problems, as will your anti virus scanning during the game.
Other stuff also interferes such as downloading/uploading something while playing, the time of day you are playing.
I promise you it isn't the server, or shouldn't be !
We have one of the best, if not the best, server companies that is available for gaming.

Re: Lagggggggggggg
it might also be your wolfenstein itself.
i dont know why or how it does it, but settings might change even if you didnt change em.
i can send you a config which minimizes lagg and keeps your ping at a steady rate. Also with this config you can max out your FPS the most, so you can set it at high value without lagging or having jumping ping issues.
i suggest this since your having lagg with quite the fast internet connection, and a relatively close location to the server hosts location.

Re: Lagggggggggggg
i havent changed much in it,
just some settings to smooth out the usage, but this varies from PC to PC and from person to person.
i can send it to you if you want to, the qulity settings however arent changed.
