Re: Lowest possible maxpackets
the easiest way to change your settings permanent would be in your own handmade config.
at the moment i have a series of settings which reduce quality, in change however your lagg gets reduced by tons, and you will be able to put your FPS much higher, which i in a game like ET prefer as the graphics arent too great already =)
if you want the settings mail me, ill send u the config and a file which explains you how you can get it ready for use the easiest way

I think his main problem is punkbuster.
And internet lag has nothing to do with FPS lag.
:/
Re: Lowest possible maxpackets
its not really fps lag but ping lag cause my laptop isnt very good but its well capable of running low end game like wolfenstein but im currently using mobile broadband internet from three so need to change that sooner or later.

Re: Lowest possible maxpackets
Is it lagging on other games too?
If not, then it's punkbuster.
If it's lagging on games without punkbuster, then I could help you find a solution...

Re: Lowest possible maxpackets
Well..
If it IS PB...Then I can't help you, since PB is lagging for all players including me, and there is pretty much no fix for this except playing at N!tmod servers( that's what other players are saying)

amount of "stuff" you send and if you have or used to have(like me finally got good home broadband) its better to lower it to reduce the ping, but even so i still lag alot dunno why, got good cennection, pc is ok to run even mw2 atm. i dont lagg in any other multiplayer except for the wolfenstein, even on lowest settings possible i get like 6-10 fps and thats after reinstall.
