could some admin reset the server cause it's dead laggy on every map u cant even move

For some reason that we cant understand the players on the server sometimes get lag, resetting the server dosn`t help.

One thing we have found is that on huge maps like Baserace facing a wall will increase your frame rate and cut the lag and once you have seen all the map the lag drops of.

The server is one of the best in the UK and UK players especially shouldn`t get any lag but we do.

It`s a mystery.

Having done a lot of research into lag etc whilst making my own maps it is clear that there could be many reasons for it.

Seeing we have one of the best server companies in the world, I suspect most of the problems are caused by maps not being made correctly or the players connection, whether that be graphics card, internet connection or whatever.

If people are experiencing problems on only one map then I would suspect the problem is just that map.

However, maps like fueldump which causes a lot of kicks etc are stock maps made by professional map makers. Which makes the bit of lag I experienced making Alderney a bit more forgivable. (Even though I fixed it in the end )

On a side note, I regularly rest the bots xp and restart the server, usually every two or three days if I get the chance.

Although I can't play at the minute I am watching from afar making sure that things are still up and running.

could someone tell me how come i get 15 fps on ET and 50-60 fps on cod 4 multiplayer, i mean WTF!!! and especially i play et lowest possible specs and cod4 low and med

No idea what so ever but while we are at it why do I get 125fps (card locked down to that) on our server and others but get lag on ours and not others.

I guess Shit happens could just be the answer to all our questions.

wow in some kind of magical way after like 2 weeks after laggy reinstall, i seems quite fine with high settings about 60-80+ fps too bad after like a year now i cant even kill a bot ;/

Im thinking that the problem is caused by multiple reasons, however i do not experience any.
it might not only be the quality of your rig or internet connection, or whatever problem in a map there might be.
it might just be the whole engine of the game.
for example, setting the FPS to either 43, 76, 125 or 333, and having the FPS steadily fixed on either of these numbers makes you jump farther due to a calculation error or bypass in the engine itself, there might be more of these problems, causing you not to jump farther, but instead lagg like ****.
im pretty sure that its not the server that is causing the problem.

ohh i got my new rig almost nice and working and i can play crysis 2 maxed 1080p 25-45 fps and et im caped only by the fps cap of 333, so no problem there anymore :]

Thats good to hear energy, i still need to try crysis 2.
Downloading it right now, im pretty excited about how my GPU will be able to handle it ^^
it should be fine tho, paying COD MW2 with an average of around 200 FPS ;D

Ah Crysis 2 looks amazing. I have Crysis and Crysis Warhead. Both were very good games, but i prefered Crysis, though the last half of the game gets a bit boring. Loved the beginning when you're on the islands with the trees and the sea and the bright sun! Felt like actually diving into the game. Unfortunately i cant play Crysis 2 becuase have only 2GB RAM and Crysis 2 needs 3GB!!!

Sounds a bit like Far Cry to me.

lol i only have 2gb corsair xms3 1333mhz and it runs more than fine and ill probs start looking on piratebay for cysis 1 and warhead. and im dont want to spoiler but crysis 2 ending could be bit more expanded cause you run around town looking for stuff killing people and then in few hours you finish the game.

and im downloading assasins creed 2 atm and it should finish soon so ill get crysis next :]

Crysis is not free unless you download a cracked version, which is nowadays available for nearly any game, especially games with a stronger single player mode : 3

depends what you mean by "free" it is illegal to dowload and share copywrited games, movies, music etc. but only the people that dowload constantly for few years just having utorrent on all the time are LIKELY to get done, and im my opinion if you CAN get something for free then you shouldnt get blamed for it

It is not illegal to download cracked or copied software or files.
however once cracked or copied software is installed or files are played, you are commiting a crime.
At least i think thats how it works here in the netherlands

well nationally your not even allowed to spread it(make iso and upload) many games have some kind of security to prevent that but they ussually fail the hard bit is the online part to crack rest isnt that hard and cracks are released in about few days of game release

Crysis1 is cool, i can't get past the bloody alien on the ship though without crashing the game. It's probably because of the copy protection or some shit.
I also finished Mirror's Edge. I liked it a lot, it's something different for a change....

for some time im actually goin legit with some games that i liked cracked like mw2 moh etc. and ill probably get mw3 and bo just for online zombies :] but apart from that im only playin cracked games, yesterday i dl'ed nfs hot persuit not bad game crappy story line but really amazing graphics
