Killing PunkBuster

I always get "spikes of lag" like every 1-1,5 seconds. And no matter how many programs i close (Xfire. Firefox. Live messenger. Etc) I still have that annoying lag. However when I pressed ctrl+alt+delete and shut down "PnkBstrA.exe" and "PnkBstrB.exe" processes, the lag stopped and my fps was smoother than ever.

You mean doing that while ET is windowed?:O

Ok. I tried it, and it doesn't work for me, maybe it works only on the GTB server or noquarter only, because I tried it in a jaymod server.
I got the "Punkbuster heartbeats stopped"

Try it in ours.
I'm not sure what's up with our PB. It's barely running.
When i kill any of those processes on other PB enabled server, i get kicked. Immediately.
On our server I just get rid of the lag...
Strange, I know.

Basically if we get an aimbotter or a wallhacker PB wont kick him..
